Darwin Family Day Care Inc provides quality home based child care that values meeting the needs of families by providing flexible, safe and nurturing care in conjunction with innovative early learning experiences for all children.  The scheme is supported by a co-ordination unit.  The co-ordination unit’s function is provide support and monitor careproviders, recruitment and training.

 Family Day Care Australia is a representative organisation that provides information and dissemination services, membership support, resources, co-ordination, advocacy and representation, and research and policy development for members, the Family Day Care community and other interested parties.  

Become a Small Business Owner

Family Day Care Careproviders are small business owners.  Careproviders enter into a contract with Darwin Family Day Care Inc  to become a registered child care service.  This partnership  is founded on the principles of providing quality child care that exceeds national standards.  This also means that careproviders must consider start up costs and ongoing financial administration of their business.

National Standards

All child care service providers including Family Day Care  are accredited through the National Accreditation Council.   This meets government regulations in providing quality child care and therefore  families are eligible for subsidised child care by claiming Child Care Benefit.
